The Sponsorship Team Lead will oversee the fundraising team responsible for securing sponsorships and donations for NU3A programmes. The role combines personal fundraising responsibilities with team leadership, ensuring that the team meets overall fundraising targets.
This role requires someone who has successfully raised significant funds in the past and can guide other fundraisers in closing high-value partnerships.
Team Leadership
• Manage and support a team of Sponsorship Executives
• Monitor individual fundraising pipelines and progress
• Provide guidance on strategy, pitching, and negotiation
Strategic Partnerships
• Lead outreach to high-value sponsors and institutional donors
• Build relationships with senior corporate and foundation stakeholders
• Close large sponsorship agreements and strategic partnerships
Fundraising Strategy
• Coordinate team fundraising strategies and outreach plans
• Identify priority sectors and high-value donor prospects
• Ensure consistent progress toward overall fundraising goals
Performance Monitoring
• Review weekly pipeline updates and fundraising metrics
• Ensure accurate tracking of sponsorship deals and donations
• Provide performance feedback and support to team members
Fundraising Leadership
• Proven experience leading fundraising or sponsorship teams
Proven Fundraising Results
• Demonstrated track record securing large sponsorships, grants, or donor contributions
Stakeholder Management
• Ability to engage senior decision makers in corporates, foundations, and institutions
Strategic Thinking
• Ability to develop fundraising strategies and guide team execution

Compensation: ~₦630,000/month (50% base + 50% performance-based)
