Our client is looking for a Finance Associate to join their growing operations team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the company’s financial reporting, compliance, expense management, and analysis. The Finance Associate will ensure that financial records are accurate, regulatory filings are timely, and internal stakeholders have the insights they need to make informed decisions. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in both accounting and financial operations within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly variance and financial performance reports.

  • Analyze financial trends to identify risks and areas of improvement.

  • Generate investor reports and support quarterly and annual reporting cycles.

  • Track key financial KPIs and support performance monitoring.

  • Oversee bank reconciliations, ledger updates, and tax computations.

  • Supervise month-end closing activities and update management dashboards.

  • Process timely and accurate payroll using tools like Bento.

  • Maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) schedules.

  • Review and process employee expense reimbursements.

  • Monitor buyer payments and coordinate with the credit recovery team.

  • Manage operational expenses such as payroll, utilities, and rent.

  • Support pricing model analysis and development with internal teams.

  • Ensure timely tax filings via platforms like E-Tax and Tax Pro Max.

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and coordinate with auditors.

  • Oversee compliance with PAYE, VAT, WHT, and corporate tax regulations.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3–4 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or audit roles.

  • ACA, ACCA, or ICAN certification (full or partial qualification required).

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, TYMS, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of IFRS, tax compliance, and payroll systems.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and report generation.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
