Job Description

Our client is seeking a Content Creator (Social Videographer & Editor) to join their creative team. The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller with a strong grasp of social trends and short-form video creation. You should be able to conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-quality videos and photos optimised for digital platforms — particularly Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

This is a hybrid in Lagos, perfect for someone passionate about producing scroll-stopping content and bringing brand stories to life through mobile videography.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality videos and photos using advanced smartphones (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, Samsung S24 Ultra, etc.) for social media campaigns.

  • Conceptualize, shoot, and edit short-form content tailored to Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other digital channels.

  • Collaborate with the social media and creative teams to bring campaign ideas to life through engaging visual storytelling.

  • Edit content using tools such as CapCut, VN, InShot, and Adobe Premiere Rush with attention to pacing, transitions, and sound sync.

  • Keep up with emerging trends, transitions, and editing techniques to ensure content remains fresh and competitive.

  • Manage content shoots, including location scouting and coordinating with on-camera talent.

  • Maintain an organised digital content library and ensure timely project delivery.

  • Provide live event coverage, including activations and product launches, when required.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in content creation, videography, or social media production (preferably with agencies or brands).

  • Proven experience creating and editing short-form video content using mobile devices.

  • Proficiency with mobile and desktop editing tools (CapCut, VN, InShot, Lightroom Mobile, Adobe Premiere Rush, etc.).

  • Strong eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Solid understanding of social media aesthetics and platform-specific content trends.

  • Basic knowledge of social analytics and performance optimization (an advantage).

  • Familiarity with maintaining brand consistency and tone of voice.

  • Highly creative, detail-oriented, and proactive.

  • Naturally trend-aware and active on TikTok, Instagram, and Reels.

  • Confident directing talent or appearing on camera when necessary.

  • Able to adapt to fast-paced content calendars and evolving creative directions.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
