Our client is looking for a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Officer to spearhead our client acquisition and sales initiation efforts. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and ensuring a seamless process from initial client consultation to project award.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary contact for potential clients, conducting preliminary consultations to understand their needs and gathering project briefs.
2. Conduct site visits to take accurate measurements and assess project requirements.
3. Prepare and send out detailed quotations to clients based on gathered data and client specifications.
4. Follow up consistently on proposals and quotations to ensure project awards and conversions from inquiry to contract.
5. Monitor and analyze the company’s current marketing activities to identify what is working and areas for improvement.
6. Implement effective marketing strategies to drive client engagement, generate project inquiries, and increase project conversion rates.
7. Ensure a consistent pipeline of projects by turning inquiries into confirmed contracts, contributing to the business growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles, preferably in a construction, manufacturing, or wooden furniture-related industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess marketing strategies and implement successful improvements.
  • Proficient Digital skill: In marketing techniques, including SEO, PPC, social media marketing, and content marketing. Understanding how to in email marketing, content development etc
  • In data analysis tools (like Excel, Google Analytics) to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve business strategies.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like Mailchimp, System.io to manage and analyze customer interactions, track leads, and streamline sales processes.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, with a strong focus on results and client satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with Nigeria market dynamics and client expectations in the Furniture industry would be an added advantage.
