Job Description

The Sales Associate will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, managing the sales pipeline, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders such as buyers, suppliers, and aggregators.
The role will focus on analyzing market trends, onboarding new clients, and ensuring customer retention to meet and exceed revenue targets. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious sales professional with a background in agricultural sales and supply chain management.

  1. Customer Acquisition & Sales Growth
    • Develop and execute a strategic customer acquisition plan to drive business expansion.
    • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to enhance revenue streams.
    • Effectively manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring sales
    targets are met.
  2. Relationship Management & Customer Retention
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with buyers, suppliers, and other key
    industry players.
    • Provide outstanding customer service to ensure client satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
    • Educate clients on new product features, market trends, and innovations to enhance sales
    opportunities.
  3. Market Intelligence & Data-Driven Sales Strategy
    • Conduct market research to understand buyer needs, industry trends, and product
    demand.
    • Collect, analyze, and act on sales data and user engagement metrics to optimize sales
    strategies.
    • Collaborate with the product development team, providing valuable feedback to enhance
    offerings based on customer insights.
  4. Financial Management & Operational Excellence
    • Ensure timely payments for services and manage debt collection processes efficiently.
    • Work with internal teams to improve operational efficiency, streamline sales processes, and ensure smooth service delivery.
    Working Relationships
    • Vendors/Suppliers/Aggregators: Partner with key suppliers to ensure consistent product
    availability and quality.
    • Buyers/Off-takers: Establish and maintain long-term partnerships to drive sales growth.
    • Hotels/Restaurants: Identify and develop business opportunities in the hospitality sector.
    • Farmers & Cooperatives: Strengthen relationships to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply
    chain.

Qualifications

• A BA/BSc/HND in Business, Sales, or a related field.
• A background in agricultural sales and supply chain management is preferred.
• An existing network of buyers in the commodity aggregation, agro-processing, hospitality,
and food industries is highly beneficial.
• Proven success in negotiating and closing deals with buyers.
Technical Competencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools for tracking leads and sales performance.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a
collaborative team.
• Ability to clearly articulate customer feedback, activities on the ground
Core Competencies
• Strong understanding of B2B sales strategies and customer acquisition.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
