Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and Develop Opportunities:
    • Identify and target new business opportunities in both existing and new markets.
    • Develop and implement strategies to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
    • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and potential customer needs.
  2. Build and Maintain Relationships:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Network and attend industry events to enhance the company’s visibility and establish new connections.
    • Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring mutual satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  3. Sales and Revenue Generation:
    • Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to align strategies and share best practices.
    • Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and reports to prospective clients and partners.
  4. Strategic Planning:
    • Work closely with senior management to develop and refine the company’s business development strategy.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for improving the company’s market position and achieving growth objectives.
  5. Client and Market Analysis:
    • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Monitor competitive activities and adjust strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
  6. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of business development activities, including contacts, leads, and deals.
    • Prepare regular reports on business development progress, sales performance, and market conditions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successful business development and sales achievements in the tech and startup ecosystem
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of business development strategies and sales principles.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market trends and competitor activities.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attributes:

Benefits

  • Base Salary: ₦200,000 per month.
  • Commission: 10% of each sale, with an expected total of ₦750,000 per month based on the minimum sales target.
  • Post-Probation: The salary will be reviewed and adjusted based on performance after the probationary period.
